Almost Forgot
OH! I forgot to mention a BIG HUGE WONDERFUL CONGRATS to Angela and Baron! They will be welcoming their sweet "BabyWright" next Spring. The only problem I have is the fact that they aren't going to find out the sex. It's killing me. I want to know if Maggie is going to get herself a girlfriend or a boyfriend!! We live so close together (and maybe closer next September!) and I'm so excited that our babies will be able to grow up together! Congrats again, Angela and Baron.

Our Holiday Recap
Well, we are back! After 4 busy days of travel, the Cahoon's are safely back in Greenville! Tommy has been having extreme back troubles (possibly a ruptured disk) and I'm 7 months pregnant, so the trip was hard on both of us. I had to do the majority of the driving though because he can't sit, only lay down. It wasn't too bad though. My parents bought us a digital videocamera to film all the sweet things Maggie will be doing. Tommy wants to film the birth, that's an issue we're still discussing. I was exactly 7 months on Christmas Day. I can't even begin to explain how excited and supportive our families have been. The only person who has shadowed them is my wonderful husband. I can honestly say that I have never seen a man as excited to be a Daddy than my Tommy. He can hardly wait til she arrives. Over the past year or so - I've seen and heard of so many women getting pregnant with little or no regard to their husbands feelings. It's very sad. Tommy is just beside himself waiting for her arrival. He's going to be such a good Daddy. Well, back to the topic, our Christmas was wonderful. I've put a new belly shot up - the picture was taken today and it wasn't a good one at all, so I cropped out my head. But, you can get an idea of what my tummy looks like now. It's really getting bigger every day. Before I know it, Maggie will be here. I hope everyone had as wonderful a Christmas as the 3 of us did! And that your New Year is an even better one.

Ahhhh, shucks!
Thanks so much to everyone who posted about my pic. I was so nervous to post it, some days I feel like such a cow. Then there are others when I think I'm doing OK. I see pictures of some pregnant women and their faces have expanded to the size of hot air balloons! So, comparitively, I think I'm doing good. I really appreciate all of you who posted! And, yes, Sara, I did get a haircut back in September. It's the shortest I've ever been, my whole life. My Mom went with me and she said, "OH, you look like a real Mom now!" It feels so great and I love not having to style it in the mornings. Thanks for noticing!

Large and In Charge
OK, FINALLY, here's a belly pic. It was taken last week after my doctor's appointment. So, it's me at 26 weeks. Keep in mind, I've only gained 10 and a half pounds total and that she measured almost 30 weeks when I was only at 26 weeks. I guess I should have known, you marry a man that is 6'5" tall, you may run the risk of having a big baby. Anyway, enough chatter, here's the 26 week picture.

Christmas Craziness
Wow! I have been so busy with work these past 3 weeks! Christmas time is the busiest season of all around here. There are so many Christmas parties going on that I have to make sure run smoothly. I'll be glad when it's Friday, December 21st and I can go home and not have to come back til the following Thursday. Yea! Anyway....blog wise: THANK YOU ROBYN for moving me over to Moveable Type. You may have noticed that I had lost my "comments" ability. So, Robyn graciously moved me over the MT and they're back now. Leave me lots of comments, please. (Now, to just figure this MT thing out...ha ha!) I had my montly doctor's appointment last week. Here is the re-cap: It was my glucose test. I sit down in the lab and they give me a choice between an orange flavored glucose drink or a lemon-lime glucose drink. I got orange (been having Sunkist cravings lately so it worked out good) The first few sips really weren't that bad. It really did taste like Sunkist that hadn't been mixed up too well (it was syrupy) You have to drink it all in 5 minutes. The more I drank the worse it got. It's so heavy and icky. Anyway, you drink it. Then, you have to wait an hour. So, I had my check-up. I weighed in GREAT! Only gained another pound and a half, so at 26 weeks, I've gained 10 and 1/2 lbs. My mid-wife said I was doing fantastic with my weight. My blood pressure was a little high, but she said it wasn't in "worry" zone...and work has been so stressful this week, so I know that's why. Maggie's heartbeat sounded great (160 beats) and her head was down at my pubic bone. The midwife put our hands down there and we could actually feel her head. It was neat. Then, for the first time, I was measured. They put the tape on your pubic bone and go up towards your boobs til they find the top of your uterus. You're supposed to measure in centimeters how far along in weeks you are. For example, I'm 26 weeks so I should have measured 26 centimeters. I should have...but I didn't. OH NO, I measured 29 (but more like 30) centimeters. So, again, they tell me she's going to be big. (The ultrasound doc said the same thing) She said she really could have gone up to 30 cent. and 29 was making it a tight squeeze. So, she tells me if it continues this way, they may induce me at 37 or 38 weeks. The visit didn't last long, so we had to wait until the hour was up before they could draw the blood. They took so much I honestly felt pretty faint. So, I had to sit a while. I had to call back at 3:30 for the results. They like to see your blood sugar under 139 and mine tested at 130. So, I don't have to go back and get a second (3 hour!) test. But, the lab tech did say it was a little on the high side and I need to watch my sweets. (But it's Christmas time, I said!) Anyway, the fact that I passed is good news. That's the recap. I have another 4 week appt. in January and that will be my last. Then I go to every 2 weeks. We scheduled for our Lamaze, breastfeeding, and expectant parents classes. I'm excited for them. I can't believe that I'll be in my 3rd trimester soon. It's almost over, March and Maggie will be here before we know it.

Here is Maggie now. I'm
Here is Maggie now. I'm 25 weeks pregnant. Just 2 more weeks until the 3rd Trimester. I can't believe it! The third and final trimester. It's actually going by pretty quickly now. At the beginning things seemed to drag on forever, especially waiting to get to the end of the first tri. That's the big one, what I had been waiting for. And now, it seems to be slipping away so quickly. My gosh, it's almost Christmas and then it will be March! I just can't believe it.
