Howdy folks ...
As you probably noticed, I haven't been much for the public writing forum as of late. Perhaps too much internal conflict, perhaps too much external conflict ... who can really say.
I won't be posting here too often now ... but thanks for making the time I did spend here worth the effort. And do feel free to drop an email from time to time if you miss Bad Kitty :)
Enjoyed a lovely birthday celebration over the past weekend, so today is recover and recoup day!

An interesting thing about The Onion
Tomorrow is the re-re-re-release of Monty Python's "Meaning of Life" on DVD in a special 2-disc set. New spam includes ... "Soundtrack for the Lonely," an audio commentary for people watching the DVD alone, and a brilliant where-are-they-now segment peeks into the lives of the children from the "Every Sperm Is Sacred" sequence and the topless runners seen in the series. DVD-ROM content includes the original screenplay, lost scenes, song sheets of music from the film, Creosote cooking tips and the Python's "Good Death Guide."
Still disgusted about the MTV awards ... Johnny Cash nominated SO many times for Hurt ... and that metrosexual twit winning over him ...
Also, you know you are getting older when your favorite band from your youth gets the Lifetime Achievement Award ...
And finally "It's the feel-good article of the year!"

I received an email today announcing another good friend of mine got engaged over the weekend. This one was totally unexpected.
I've been getting these for something like 7-8 years now. I've participated in 3 (no, make that 4) weddings.
I remembered this film I saw a couple of years ago ...

Do I even begin to explain how close this is to my own life? No ... I don't. I just wish my friend the best, wipe away my tears, and look through the Crate and Barrel catalog yet again.
If you haven't seen Matrix Reloaded ... this is definitely worth your while. If you saw it and want more ... go see it in IMAX! It will blow you away ... seriously.
I saw it tonight at my local IMAX ... and as Keanu would say "Woah"

p.s. Need more incentive ... there are no commercials and no trailers (excepting the Matrix Revolutions preview after the credits roll) for IMAX showings. So go now ... you can thank me later.

A running tally ...
Last week, blew out an entire circuit breaker with my hair dryer at my boyfriend's apartment.
This week, two electric breakers worth of power on/power off (note the breaker isn't tripping ... and neither am I)
So 3 extension cords to rooms with plugs that actually work without causing a fire later ... um yeah. It's not so comforting when the electrician (oh I'm sorry, that's not a REAL electrician ... a remodeling contractor my landlord hired) tells you "Yeah nothing to worry much about there ... it would have already caught on fire if it was going to do that. But turn off the breakers if it makes you feel better. We'll come look at it sooner or later"
I really think I'm developing some mutant electrical powers or something. May I recommend NOT living with me (as I seem to be cursed now with water and electricity.)

It is spring ... and like all bad kitties, this one needs to frolic. I'll be off on vacation for a bit ... but do check in from time to time ... I'll get over my spring fever soon and be back to enlighten and entertain.
